Change..Are we ready for it ?

We all have the similar feeling when we meet up with someone who we thought had lost contact with ,or we have not met for like a few decades...recently i had this experiece when i met with a friend of mine and after a certain point of time , i realized during the course of the conversation that I did not know this person in front of me , who i was elated to see more than half a decade. The person had changed, change had overcome him to such an extent that i no longer identified with him, he was no longer that person who i called my friend...

I came back home and i was thinking to myself, if i had changed over the period of time.. and to tell the truth coudn't figure out, other than being more fatter and and the increase in the thickness of my glasses , i coudnt figure out any noticable change in me in terms of personality.

I asked a few people and there were some fo my freinds who told me that they liked me more even now because i was still the same old chap they met in college and i am still the same person now too..Tellling the truth again, i was quite delighted to know that other people did not feel the same disjoint feeling as i had expereinced..

But then this thought struck me as to ; have i kept myself from changing, from evloving, from developing into someone else that i would have been if i had no resisted change ?..The thought was disturbing..one side of me told me that i was doing good by keeping away change and its always better to be oneself, whereas my otherside of my mind told me otherwise..

I figured out later that the common philospical talk about change which goes like "Change is inevitable" is not true to all its extents..Change is definitly evitable..It is something that we chose to embrace or disregards...sometimes we change for the better sometimes the change is disastorous...sometimes even the disaster serves as a change..

When i say embrace change..it is much easier to type it here than to actually do it..because changes are sometimes forced..most of the times changes are decisions that we take in life, and to welcome the difference a higher mindset is required..And higher mindset is not something that can be bought from a shop ..it is something that we cultivate, that we grow, that we learn through expereicnes...

So someimtes even the best of us, make rash decsiions, bad decision, decisions we know we are going to regret the moment its over...sometimes we do something that we know will go wrong, but we do it anyway.

But at the end of the day even making those choices, taking that decision immaterial of the result turning good or not, turning the odds against us or not , requires a lot of courage, a lot of will power, a burning passion to embrace and make change to ourselves and to the people around us.....

The outcome of making or not making that choice, is what makes us or breaks us...

A nice day with lot of things learned , massive understandings and realizing that; in the end, its

all that we do in this short time we have here , that matters....i close this post for today....

If people reading this have not closed this blog and gone yet, the song for today ..

Change is good... but i think when ppl say embrace change, i don't think they mean to change urself... i think they mean things like switch to cherry Pepsi from normal Pepsi cause it tastes better, change from driving a maruti to a Porsche or change from wearing formals to work to wearing shorts and a t-shirt and stuff like that... Changing yourself might be good if u find that there's something bad about urself that u need to change... thats y they invented new year resolutions... but eventually,we become more and more fine toned for this world, and find that we need to change less and less... isn't that something called Darwinian principle... survival of the fittest? we become fit to be good ppl and then we don't need no more change... thats even the philosophy behind the age old saying in the mountain ranges of Tibet among the monks that goes - "Be cool, not fool"...

change is "the" most wanted thing in my life now.......and it s eluding me ........ i m tired of the same routine life i m leading these days..... i want to meet new people.... make new acquaintances ...... and have a blast ....... but then i think for that i ll have to wait till may 1 st .......... when i can reach hyd and have a blast ............ at last there s hope ......... not the kind of darkness that i saw when i was in a dark dark and horrendously dark tunnel called INFY........ atleast now i see light, though it s kind of flickering light ..... i do see something that can be termed as light ...... at the end of the tunnel named "my life".......... so for me i m craving for change ....... let mba and hyderabad quench my thirst for change .... with crossed fingers
aravind...... ur good friend
